Cellulite Treatment (Endermologie)
Cellutlite, it can plague the thighs, buttocks or abdomen of almost every women after puberty. Many experts estimate that more than 85% of women suffer with some amount of cellulite, though it is almost never seen in men. And while cellutlite is fat, it is not a symptom of obesity.
Cellulite can just as easily occur in overweight, normal, and thin women. While your total amount body fat can influence your chances of getting cellulite, your age, your hormones, your diet, your habbits (such as smoking, and your genetic predisposition (blame your parents!) also affect your chances of getting the bumpy, "orange peel" skin.
That "orange peel" effect (cottage cheese, dimples, ripples, and craters if you prefer) happens when pockets of fat become trapped above the honeycomb of connective tissue that is supposed to keep your fat evenly distributed below the skin. At the same time, that honeycomb of connective tissue becomes compressed and hardened, making blood circulation difficult. The result is the bumpy, uneven skin condition known as cellulite.
Cellulite does not respond well to weight loss, exercise, creams, or even surgical liposuction.
The only FDA-approved method to temporarily reduce cellulite is that of Endermotherapie.
Endermologie is a patented technique that uses rollers and gentle suctioning to deep massage the affected areas. Endermologie sessions last about 35 minutes, and the best results require several sessions a week for several weeks (5-15 sessions). Studies have shown that circulation is increased, collagen function is restored, toxins and abnormal water buildup is expelled as the connective fibers are stretched. The result is often smoother skin and the temporary reduction of cellulite.
Endermologie can also be helpful after
Liposuction. It helps to achieve a smoother-younger look more quickly and is especially helpful in those few patients that experience some skin rippling after liposuction.
